This website is designed for anyone with an interest in learning more about Blood Banking and Transfusion Medicine. Pathology residents, pathologists, blood bank fellows, clinicians, nurses, lab technologists, and SBBs, as well as those of you with no medical background at all should be able to find useful stuff here.
Dr Chaffin says: "I started this site over thirteen years ago, in 1998. My initial goal was to help pathology residents learn more about basic blood banking and transfusion medicine. Over the years, thousands of pathologists, clinicians, nurses, laboratory science students, and regular 'non-scientific' folks have visited in order to further their knowledge of blood banking.""Please take a minute to check out some cool new things you can find here. If you've enjoyed this site before, I really hope that you will love the new stuff!"
It's simple: BBGuy.org's mission is to make blood banking and transfusion medicine as simple and accessible as possible.
